Ha ha ha... but not funny if an unknowing buyer gets it as great birthday present for someone here.

...WTF, how do you get it off CL? ... click "prohibited" or something else? We should all click it away.

I emailed him offering $3k for it. He said 3k is an ok price and that we can meet at starbucks for me to look at the guitar.

I told him I'll take it as long as the black 10x11 amp is included, otherwise I walk

on edit - he's playing hardball. He wants $42 for the black 10x11 amp

he explained that the wire in front of the guitar is the connection wire for the two items. I said that I will require the 'wire' to be included

Other than being a obvious fake, the seller knows nothing about the guitar itself which rings alarm bells.

'Its orange, red and yellow with black plating and tuning knobs.' Yes Einstien, we can already see that in the picture. He doesnt refer to it as a burst, with pickguard. But hey the strings are in great condition.

He knows absolutely nothing about what he's selling. Not a clue.

If you had a 'Gibson' for years even if you were completely clueless you eventually get to know it inside out.

Chibson sellers who are also crappy scammers also can at least usually define what model Gisbon and year that the fake represents. They understand terms like, burst, pickguard, tuners, etc.

Which almost suggests to me the guitar listed here was possibly stolen and the seller has come up with some complete and utter rubbish to pass it off, or got really bad advice from a mate who is as clueless as they are.

Or he, himself was ripped off, buying an investment?

More likely, he is playing stupid to AVOID having to answer questions he doesn't want to answer and have questioned. The more he lies, the easier it is to get tripped up.

Hey.....the strings are perfect .:thumb:

That turd is just 15 mins away from my location....very embarrassing.

We've mapped out the locations of these turds and, frankly, you're at the epicenter. Either they're closing in or your business is expanding.

The guy he stole it from probably knows more about it. :laugh2:

This seller is clearly very knowledgeable guitar guy - "I'm selling an 11 x 10 in. (black) amplifier too."

Man, I've been looking for one of those. I wish I lived closer to the seller so I could try before I buy...

HELL YES! The tone of the rare "11 x 10 in. (black) amplifier" is legendary. Its known to aficionados as the "SMALL BLACK SOUND" They only come up once or twice a year, and usually they've been modified or messed around with. However I bet that a guy who waxes his guitar monthly has kept his "blackie" in great shape!

I doubt he was ripped off, How can he ask for 12K for the amp, and then settle for 20 dlls..
