Lovely work as usual, Lars - whats the Laser you are using?

I'm using this one (No, I'm not working for Bosch, just having loads of Bosch Power Tools :laugh2: )

I'm in the middle of painting so here's the first, with a layer of clear nitro-cellulose

Thanks, Lucky you don't know the circumstances :laugh2:. Yes I like the pattern of that top.

Here's the second just done. This will be the "Red Beauty". Funny is that it has a pink tone on the back. I used the very same Aniline and same procedure. Ahhh.. now I know, it's quartersawn. I guess I have to spray a layer of cherry aniline or wait until it has faded.

They're looking awesome! I hope when I get enough experience, I can build one similar to the one with the Bigsby that you're building.
Cheers.

Yes multiple builds are fun as it seem to go much faster :hmm:

Here's the last one for today. It's getting darker, the sun is sleepy, it's Saturday evening and I have, believe it or not, other things to do. :laugh2:

Dammit that went fast!
The red beauty looks neat! What pickups will you use?

I'm going to put in a pair of Sheptone A/B Custom in the Red Beauty. I have Sheptone Tributes in other Les Paul's and I like them a lot, so I thought I should give the AB a try.

I guess I shot the amber layer too heavy. All though the bindings looks like the pictures of 9 0875 in BOTB but I don't really like the look of it on this build. And I think I have to experiment with the top a little to make it more signal red. Now it looks more like a cherry (light 355 top) I'll try out to first put a layer of translucent white and a couple of thin red layers. On the other side, when the Aniline starts to fade it maybe becomes pink?

Time to take a time out on this build.
