Take your time. If it's a burst, it's not going to cool off. They aren't making any more and it's pretty much the most desirable guitar the planet has ever known. It'll only go up in value. There MAY be some well healed person that will have a knee jerk reaction to overpay instantly, guitar brokers are sure hoping so, they need their cut right?

If he doesn't need the cash it could be playing again with a small investment, then it's a family heirloom, one that sounds amazing and is irreplaceable.

idk seems to me when one has a guitar out of a batch of 600 something made total it would carry some heat regardless of when its bought or sold, Be it sold now or later the pros/cons aren't gonna over pay..... their gonna do there best to under pay, personally i'd sit on it for a bit there will be a market regardless.

Past sales and dates from reverb:

I wonder how much it went for? If he comes back, thanks for the cool burst pics.

Now, you realize that your "visual aid" implies only one or two per year actually sell.

Oh, and a 50% drop in value in the most recent comp.

Are you sure he should "sit on it?"

I was in contact with the owner via Facebook before he even posted here....and I made no play on the guitar. In fact, I referred him to Mike Reeder. (Mike's Music, Cinci.)

You are being terribly unhelpful to the OP by continuing your uniformed pontifications.
