Take your time. If it's a burst, it's not going to cool off. They aren't making any more and it's pretty much the most desirable guitar the planet has ever known. It'll only go up in value. There MAY be some well healed person that will have a knee jerk reaction to overpay instantly, guitar brokers are sure hoping so, they need their cut right?

If he doesn't need the cash it could be playing again with a small investment, then it's a family heirloom, one that sounds amazing and is irreplaceable.

idk seems to me when one has a guitar out of a batch of 600 something made total it would carry some heat regardless of when its bought or sold, Be it sold now or later the pros/cons aren't gonna over pay..... their gonna do there best to under pay, personally i'd sit on it for a bit there will be a market regardless.

I wonder how much it went for? If he comes back, thanks for the cool burst pics.

My advice:

  • Don't lay it flat on a table again.
  • Consider retiring the comforter.
  • Enjoy the $200,000 windfall gift from your grandfather
  • Conceal the value of the guitar from the other people who have a say in the will.

Now, you realize that your "visual aid" implies only one or two per year actually sell.

Oh, and a 50% drop in value in the most recent comp.

Are you sure he should "sit on it?"

Might want to consult an attorney before giving potentially criminal legal advice...
Consult MLP etiquette guide for what purple text means. :)

There is no MLP etiquette guide, but since @Chymore45 is new to the forum... purple text around here shows a joke, irony, or sarcasm. It's the visual version of saying "I'm only kidding".
