Amp and speaker impedance - quick question!

Hello everyone, just a quick question:

So the Vox Night Train 15W head (NT15H) has output jacks for 8 or 16 ohms. The matching cab (V112NT) has a 16 ohm speaker in it.

So my question is, if i connect the Head and the Cab using the 8 ohm jack on the head will this cause any problems? Because i wasnt really paying attention when i plugged it in to play and i just found out thats the way i currently have it set up. (and have been playing it like this for a week or two)

I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong, but I don't think plugging a 16ohm cab into the 8ohm jack on your amp is gonna hurt anything. However, if you had an 8ohm cab and plugged that into the 16ohm jack on your amp, that would be trouble because it would be causing your amp to see a higher load than what the jack is intended for.

I always advise that you match your Ohms. No point in chancing fate and running the risk of you losing money.

i was just getting a little paranoid, thinking that i might have caused some long term damage to it.
