Oh come on mud.. The average US supermarket loaf is awful.. The chocolate even worse. It wouldn't be so bad if there were any cocoa in it.
The Brits have some of the best food produce in the world, but don't know how to cook it.. They overcook bloody everything.
We are both streets behind the French when it comes to cuisine.
+1...
The only decent chocolate is where you're lucky enough to find an import shop...the American version of my favorite chocolate in the world (was raised with Cadbury's) is a mere shadow in comparison.
On the culinary side we have some chefs who I'd put up against anyone in the world. The average American palette? Terrible--McD french fries and Big Mac sandwiches have ruined us. [Edit] If it isn't salty or sweet we don't know what to make of it. LOL
The Brits do overcook the veg, but I'll tell you what--hardly anyone on this side of the pond can tell you what goes in a shepherd's pie...they all use bloody hamburger.
My fave food in the UK? Cornish Pasties.
