Funny thing , there are guys who wouldn't touch such guitars ....probably readin' this thread
That '73 Deluxe has been up on Craig's around here for a couple weeks ....nobody'd touch it ...granted the seller was quite erratic with his pricing / understanding of what he COULD get ..
But I went n got it , spent a couple hours of disinfection and setup ....the darn thing just SCREAMS . I'll take a used guitar everytime

Im skatin' the line between actual patina VS previous owner's septic gunk of neglect
Apparently , it's pretty much been cased since the early 90's .It rode out Katrina somewhere

I've had this one since about 1985...when few people cared about these old things.
It was pretty beat up when I got it, but it's seen hundreds of gigs...including last weekend...reconed P12R...sounds freakin' killer. Just amazing.
