If you were going to have a makeover done on your guitar or the option to purchase a makeover would you opt for:

A. Heavy relic and finish wear on body and metal with finish checking

B. Light relic and finish wear on body and metal with finish checking

C. No relic or or wear but with light metal aging and finish checking

D. No aging and no finish checking (as New)

I hope this makes sense. I am curious what most people prefer. Please assume that the cost is the same for any option.

Thanks

I'd probably do the light relic option. I do like the heavy relicing, but sometimes it can be overdone. A tasteful DJ relic job--heavy relic for me.

A mix of sorts (D) for the finish have never had any problems putting my own dings, scratches and dents in em. I left the Gibby VOS sauce on my hardware when I buffed it totally off the rest of the guitar.

A) if I can use DJ or RS Guitarworks.

B) for a Gord Miller Gold Top.

C) for a Tom Murphy

D for me. I don't mind waiting a few years for real mojo on my guitars instead of fake mojo.

Me – Buy a VOS. Read MLP. Buff it to gloss. Buy expensive aged parts. Regret. Buy new historic Lester. End up gassing for a Vintage. :dude:

Light aging / heavy aging depending on what guitar it is. I just can't get into most new guitars.

the ageing where it feels like a played in guitar.bare neck, rolled fretboard, some edge wear on the arm rest. add some checking & hardware tarnish to make the package look cohesive and we're done :thumb:
no idea if that fits into ABC or D

All of them.. I currently have C & D.. Glossy new guitars are just too damn shiny..

Cars I like to be shiny, not guitars. :noway:
