The year was 1993. I was battling Nirvana....

FEZZ #1 had been together for 18 months. We were getting good;practicing 12 hours weekly. We got shut-down 3 out of 4 gigs. Not due due to incompetence, due to INTENSITY. We played with Metal+Cover bands;FUZZROCK was not in vogue.
The cloud appeared.....drummer started going camping every week with his 'frigid" girlfriend? Bassist wanted to get a LEAD guitarist and a new singer
I guess I could be the "second" guitarists? NO RESPECT! I quit the band one cold November evening- I walked away from our storage/practice space with my pedals,amps,cords,velvet jackets............
Nirvana ended several months later. Nobody won the BATTLE OF THE POWER TRIOS!

2008- I go see The Dicks. I realize,"I can do this."
15 years is a long enough "rest."
I get a "green" bassist- teach him-find a 19 year old drummer to "push" me. We last 6 months. Drummer almost Od's. Bassist touches THE REAPER'S hand-barely survives.
I "recruit" drummers. I try to flourish as a Super Power Duo- Black keys who? One drummer goes mad-leaves the state. Second drummer has a "liver" attack...... 2011=Bye Bye R+R_____--__---__--__--_--_-----

Tommy Red was my bassist in 2008- I thought he was dead by now.
"Tommy? You live?"
"Yes, I'm OK.............I need you."
"For what?"
"FEZZ band."
FEZZ band? I was 48-COOKED!
"No way. FEZZ band almost killed you in 2008."
" No, it kept me alive. we must continue. I found a new drummer. He is perfect-down on his luck-working/living in a carwash."
"YES! YES! YES! WE CAN TOPPLE? Who is the best band now?"
"There are none. Ghost AD? "
"Alright. We can topple Ghost AD

That was two years ago. We have lasted-beat FEZZ curse-18 months was the longest any of my bands have lived. We just recorded three weeks ago. BEST ALBUM since? In Utero........yes, the follow-up---finish Kurt's work.
Here is the new single. DEVIL DRINKS MINT TEA=1986 Sg w/Iommi bridge pickup- Roger Mayer Purple Mongoose Fuzz-1974? Pro Reverb Fender amp-first take.
Oh, yeah, I bought a 2011 Fender Blacktop Jazzmaster yesterday. I put it on lay-away-pick it up in 4 weeks. I posted a stock photo-looks just like this.
