My dad had a bad ulcer and digestive problems for 20 years
till they finaly found out it was a type of germ in his system
they gave him some new kind of antibiotics and in three months
it was all healed up. Dad jsut blamed it on all the C and K rations
from the army

maybe its some type of germ that is causing your problems?

I heard taking Braggs Apple cider Vinegar was good for a lot of reasons, do you mix it all together with the Honey and Cinnamon, slippery elm and Marshmallow root

I take the Braggs as a drink, I shot in a glass of water, I take the slippery Elm and Marshmallow root in capsules, and a spoonful of the honey and cinnamon.
If I feel any heart burn, I take a drink of the water and Braggs and it goes away in about 1 minute.. really great stuff!

I'm surprised more people don't research the side affects of whatever pharmaceuticals they are taking. Even in the adverts on TV where they list a whole laundry list of side affects. I know one thing, I'd rather not sleep for a whole year than have 1% chance of the side affects of Lunesta ;)

A friend of mine for way back always mentioned natural things for any cure or ailment. I just thought she was anti pharma but she was right, lot of things can be taken care of without drugs and certain vitamins, herbs, nutrients etc.

Congrats - I suffered with GERD for many years, taking various meds in the process. In the end, I cut out caffeine, bread, and pasta and it simply went away on its own. The side effect was I lost 35 lbs in the process, so it was a win all the way around.

Triggers are different for everyone, so it's a bit of trial and error, but it can be overcome.

I have the same problem with the stomach valve. I probably should ditch the coffee (though I don't drink it much in the summer)
I have cut out most of the stuff you mentioned, but I don't take Prilosec or any other besides maybe the Tums.

I can only eat small meals or else I get into trouble.
If I eat too much at night, I will often have acid come up and while I'm sleeping, breathe it into my lungs.
Talk about pain. Chest pain and coughing for an hour or two.

It sucks.

My other and her husband tried pushing that crap on me. I said Im fine if I eat the way that i should, their response was "why would you want to give up foods you like?" Because I know they make me feel like crap and Im allergic to them.

I have heartburn so bad I thought I was having a heart attack on more than one occasion and then feel as though someone pulled the energy switch for about 2 days after. It is quite awful. Eating properly and avoiding anything man made as a rule will change your life.
