Ace Frehley's Facebook said:
We are excited to announce the new album SPACE INVADER, Ace's first new solo album in five years, via E1 Music on June 24th, 2014.
The album will include at least nine brand new original songs as well as a cover of Steve Miller Band’s “The Joker.”

An official statement from Ace surrounding the exciting news:
“Life on Earth has been very good to me, and the body of work I’ve created over the years has withstood the test of time. Today I see no obstacles before me and my creativity has never been more fine tuned. Growing up in an Alien world has enhanced my senses and allowed me to succeed where others would have failed. The best is yet to come!”

TEAM ACE

I'll admit to being far more than just a little excited.

I've been trying to get his label to send me a promo copy!!

I mean I'll buy it too...but I'd love an advance download.

I was actually surprised at how good his last album was, so I'll definitely pick up this one. I'm also hoping he'll start touring again to support the album.

@Eddie It was announced in November that he's gotten a 2 album deal with EOne Music.

Then no word on anything until last week when he told Eddie Trunk that he's finishing up his album....the pressers I've seen say it'll have AT LEAST 9 Original tunes....i.e...they're not really sure...lol.

@Frampton Yeah...he didn't tour at all for Anomaly...and damn it...I want a tour.

I was wondering if he'd be able to take advantage of the hall of fame publicity with a new album. Been in the works a while.

There was an old demo called back into my arms that I keep hoping sees an album. Something about the melody I like.

I'd actually like to see Ace hit it out of the park, just so those bottom feeders, Gene and Paul, could eat shit.

If you take Anomaly and compare it Monster and Sonic Boom, frankly, Anomaly comes out WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY on top.

Ace listened to his first solo record to get into that mindset, but he didn't try to recreate it.

Gene and Paul have been trying to recreate 1974....Monster in particular did not age well at all...it's pretty good for a spin or two, but goes downhill quickly.

I thought Sonic Boom & Monster were both very good...same with Anomaly.

Do they capture the magic of old?...no, but very solid efforts in my book.

If you combine monster and sonic boom it makes for one good album. Sonic boom was like hot in the shade pt. II for me.

Aside from Gene's songs....I kind of agree. The songs they wrote for Eric Singer were both pretty good...

Lyrically, I know...I know... I thought Sonic Boom was by far the worst stuff Gene has ever written....absolutely terrible...

It was like he was writing a song...and it was going pretty good...and then he's like...but this chick needs to get naked....

What rhymes with take off your clothes???

By no means were those two albums the worst things Kiss has ever done, but I'd put them behind Creatures, Revenge, and Carnival in my personal book...about on par with Hot In The Shade...but w/o a song the quality of Forever.

I actually like Gene's offerings on both...& what a nice surprise to actually hear some classic-like bass lines on Monster.

Do I still prefer to listen to Hotter Than Hell, Rock 'N Roll Over, Creatures of the Night...of course I do. Sonic Boom & Monster were both solid efforts & exactly what I expected. Loud, big, rock 'n roll.

As a life long KISS fan, very satisfied & looking forward the Ace's next disc.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the post. Can't wait! I'm surprised they all don't have something coming out. 40 yr. anniversary and hall of fame momentum.

Same here. I had no clue he was even working on something until I recently heard the Eddie Trunk interview, but even then I didn't expect it to hit the market so soon.

Ace has a new disc, Paul has a book out soon, KISS touring this summer...at this point in the game, I'll take it.

On a non-Ace note...looking forward to reading Paul's book. Should be a good one.
