that sucks but what can you do? so many musicians have hearing problems because they played way too loud night after night and wore no ear protection.

dont do the crime if you cant do the time as they say.

these may make you look dumb but at 60+ can you really look cool anyways? :laugh2:

That's a major bummer. My wife and kids and I were really looking forward to seeing them in Cleveland on the 26th. Hope it works out for Brian and he can finish the tour at a later date.

Man they've been plagued by some ridiculous stuff the last 2 years, at least they did it well for a long time.

That sucks :( They are sold out in many places. Hope it isn't permanent and they can carry on with their tour later on.

I know Caleb mentioned on here that he was going to the DC one in about a week.

Glad I saw them a few months ago. I feel bad for the people who were going on this leg. They had a hell of a run. I hope everything works out for Brian.

Hitting the rock and roll age wall. Well they have kicked ass for quite a few decades.

I'm surprised this is not a bigger problem among older Rock Musicians.

Too bad. To this day I'll have to say that the time I saw them in Nuremburg, Germany in 1979 was probably the loudest band I've ever seen...and they opened for the Who.

So, being the front man for a hard rock band can be hard on your hearing?

In other shocking news, water is wet!

Yeah I was pretty excited about it. While it sucks as a fan I totally understand. If the docs gave me that news I'd never play another show again.

Hearing loss can be a result of age related deterioration (and unlucky genetics).Happens sooner, sometimes much sooner for some.If brian has a perfect storm happening(this and continued exposure to +db.),then, there is good reason to quit.
