That's the UPS Story. Suggest the OP visit the UPS service center where the package would have dispatched. Tell the manager that you were not contacted by phone, and then ask him to produce the person who claims to have made the call.

But really, nothing screams "come steal me" like big ol' box that says Gibson, Fender, Bose or w/e.

When you order from Sweetwater, they give you the option to require a signature for an additional fee. I don't remember the exact amount, but it's around $2.45 per package.( They ship using Fed Ex) I wish MF would offer this option as I too have had guitars left on my porch.

Any updates? You did protest the charge on your credit card, right? Also, you should make a police report if UPS insists it was delivered, and then make a claim for theft on your homeowner's insurance.

Actually I got a delivery from MF last month of an LP = was double boxed i a plaing brown box... same cardboard as this Very Discreet delivery...

4/9/2016 Never received any calls from local UPS and was getting very anxious. Contacted MF once again, and the agent from MF informed me that the UPS investigation was closed two days ago (4/7/2016.) Reason for closing: Local UPS called me and checked that I found the guitar... I assume the Local UPS just closed a case by making up a story on their end. WTF?

Very dubious. It's possible they gave the job of calling you to the driver that delivered the package. This raises a red flag.

Went with Zzounds on my Epi White Lightning and my Gibson LP 50s Tribute. With discounted pricing through chat and then no tax and 6% cash back from mr rebates, SW couldn't come close either time...

Same thing with the MF SDOD yesterday.
