I've been so engulfed in moving the last two days.

A good friend/former co-worker passed away today.
Unfortunately she wont receive the card I sent her.

LIFE IS SHORT.

LOVE TO YOU ALL!

We are BLESSED!

None of us really know exactly what happens for sure when we pass away, so even though she didn't receive the card, hopefully she received the feelings behind it in some way on her way 'up'.

Little things like cars, guitars, gear etc. Become nothing more than "stuff" once one realizes the importance of what time you have here.
Once my wife passed away last March, all the
Stuff I had seemed very very small.

Sorry for your loss.

Indeed life is much to short for everyone, for some its tragically cut even shorter than we could have ever imagined.

Just another reminder to keep what is really important to you in the forefront and not to worry about those things that truly don't matter. Thanks for the reminder.

My condolences, rikko...

You're correct in your observations regarding the very tentative and iffy nature of life itself.

It's never a mistake to work hard at what one wishes to accomplish. You never know what's gonna happen next, that's for sure.

As one writer put it: it is never a mistake to say goodbye.

Stay strong, man.

A friend of our singers came to see us play a few weeks ago at our outdoor gig. He and his wife had some laughs and pizza with us after. He was 73, but in fantastic shape. Owned a motorcycle shop, but was pretty much retired. Great guy.

Right after the gig, he was feeling shitty. Went in, and was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. He was told with Chemo, he may have a year....without it, 3 weeks.

He opted for Chemo. His 3rd treatment was this past Thursday. He felt like shit again and went into the hospital on Friday. Doctors said that it was rare, but the Chemo actually accelerated the cancer, and he had days to live. They put him on a ventilator, and said that was what was keeping him alive, and to get his affairs in order. Once they removed the ventilator, he would go quickly.

Upon his request, they removed the ventilator on Monday, and he was gone 5 min. later.

Be grateful for every single day. You just never know.

One of my cousins passed away 3 weeks ago.
Three weeks before she was coughing and discovered a lump in her neck.
Went to see a doctor, had a scan and all.
Aggressive lung cancer.
It went really fast.

Every day is a gift if you see it.
