A 'fifth' of whiskey...

I've been to Seguin but never saw anything but a steel mill and longhorns surrounded by a zillion taco joints.

That would go great with my Braunfels grille fixings.

Heck, yeah! They bilt one of them there chateau thingys and grow wine and junk down there. They even got one of them factories that makes toilet water.

I used to have that on a t-shirt.

A lady I was dating was not amused.

A friend of mine had a tee shirt with huge letters that read D.E.A. emblazoned upon it...

When you got closer you could see the fine print that caused the letters to read, "Drunks Enjoying Alcohol"...

He walked into one of the dumps I was minding one night-- a place full of dopers of the very worst sort-- and they were less than happy with that shirt, even after the gag was revealed.

A while later, he bought another shirt that read N.O.P.D. as in New Orleans Police Department...

And when you got closer you could see that it came down to:

Not Our Problem, Dude

And as it happened, the NOPD officers who spotted him wearing it were less than thrilled with that shirt, just as the dopers didn't like his D.E.A. shirt.

He said to me, "Damn! Nobody has a sense of humor these days!"

I replied, "Are you surprised? Maybe you should let me pick your tee shirts out for you from now on."

And then it was his turn to be less than amused-- with me.

The original "fifth" was a bottle that contained 4/5 of a quart... or, approximately 750ml of liquid.

I have no recollection of ever seeing one marked as such, though.

They weren't marked as "a fifth", it was as you say 4/5 of a quart.
