This is a 1998 Ibanez Jem555. Original it was black. It was stripped to partly "naturalish" by former owner. The guitar felt good in my hands at start, but - it didnt suit me so well soundwise - it did not marry well with a marshall amp in my ears. It was too "nice". I am sure the original pups, DiMarzio Evolution is great for shredders and Steve Vai kind of sound, but I tried put in a T-Top at the bridge, and a Tim Shaw in the neck position. NOW the guitar came alive... and marries well with a Marshall amp. The former shredderguitar has converted to a rockn´roll machine. Might still look like a metalguitar but sounds like a 70´s classic-hardrockguetarra.
Its a devil in disguise.
