Thank you everyone! I am on the transplant list waiting for my chance. Feeling sorry for me or myself does nothing for anyone. I always looked at my health in knowing that if it wasnt me it would be someone else. Be thankful for what u have and the people u can share your life with.

Well said, and under 1,000,000 words. My sentiments exactly.

Oh, thanks anyway. That was just an outline of the first draft, of the first post out of a series of 10 posts... not including photos with captions. Have not decided on the bibliography yet. :laugh2:

Just stumbled over this thread, I'm a little late for it. Pretty cool to post a day in the life of yourself. I also had dialysis for a short period back in 2004, and recieved a kidney transplant shortly after. So I def know, it can get rough. I did the everyday for 10 hours dialysis though (hemodialysis). BAD choice, should have done what your doing. How long does it take where you are on the doner list to get a transplant? Do they give you a timeframe?

I was also on Hemo right away and it didn't go well with me. Got an infection around last Thanksgiving and it never went away. My blood type is O so that's the toughest to have for a match. On top of that I'm going to get a pancreas at the same time. I'm hoping soon. My mom also was doing dialysis and had complications with Hemo a few weeks ago and passed away Monday due to it.
