I wonder what Slash's lungs look like? I think he smokes cigarettes in his sleep...
he stopped smoking when his mom died of lung cancer last year. hes stayed off them for a while so hes doing well, he doesn't drink or do drugs anymore either so, if he stays of the fags then he'll be cleaner than most people. there'll still be quite a lot of damage done though
I didnt know his mum died. From reading his book, they were close.
He's got a defibrillator, not a pacemaker, they're two entirely different tings..
And he did continue to drink and do drugs after he got that defibrillator implanted in his chest (in the late nineties i think.) , he had a major relapse (drugs) in 2005 after a VR tour..
Hopefully he'll stay sober for the rest of his life..

No, its a defibrillator, he said so himself (Just watch the Letterman Interview from 2007)
This is how it works:

A Pacemaker works by sending electrical impulses to the heart, to regulate a persons heartbeat to obtain a normal heart rate..
A defibrillator will only send electricity through its wires if it senses that the person is going through cardiac arrest..
There are devices that have both features though (fibrillation and pacemaker.)
