I'm looking at a 79' silverburst on ebay, the one that says "mint" condition. It does look like its in very good condition, I made contact w/ the sellor who also sent me further pics. All photo's looked great but I there wasn't any visible "made in USA" imprint beneath the serial #. Also the serial # appeared to be imprinted alittle highter on the back of the headstock than other models 79' models I've compaired it too. Is this somthing to be concearned about (worried about possible fake or refinish job). Also is $3800-$4200 a fair price? - seems a bit high to me. Thanks for the replies

That axe on Ebay is the real deal.

As far as what it's worth that's for you to decide. A similiar mint one went for $3700 on the bay last month, and one that was very nice went for $3500 a few days ago.
