I wanted a clean transparent boost and ad popped up for a clearance sale from Walmart. So I bit. It's a monoprice eq booster pedal from China... aluminum case, base treble, level, low distortion, bypass... only one review that I could find, said worked as described. There are more for sale on Walmart's site. That's less than a metal case! Good luck to all of us who bite & hope it sounds decent. Free pickup in a couple days ...

Eeesh, someone is paying a high price for Walmart to be able to give those away like that...

Looked to god to pass up. And now a Walmart troll has been born... me! Maybe there are other crazy good deals? Probably, but I never expected guitar pedals for cheap!

Just checked these out and they don't seem to be available over here in Blighty without paying stupid shipping & import stuff, so, as Walmart own the ASDA chain of supermarkets over here, and my wife gets 10% staff discount, I think I'll just put my feet up and wait until they get here priced around £40.

Looks like they have quite a few pedals on clearance. OD, distortion, chorus, blues od.

No relation to chit above, but I saw this, and bought one. A review when I get it.

So god guided you through this?
LOL! I meant to say good of course. Sometimes my phone changes entire phrases out to pure nonsense!

So it's on my board after a moore yellow compressor. It's certainly clean enough for my current 68 decibel bedroom touring gig. The base & treble knobs are useful to dial in tone. Nice to have a boost option.

I ordered one. It came to about 13 bucks after shipping. It should be here tomorrow. It'll probably sit in the drawer for a few months / years because I really didn't have a specific need for it right now but the price was too good to pass up.

Yah, I'm always curious how much they are paying the people who make all of that cheap crap from monoprice.
Almost slave labor is making your toys cheap.
Step up, buy from the alligator or someone else local.

At the end of the day, nearly everything we buy has some slave labour involved at some step of the chain, but yeah, nothing good comes from a pedal this cheap.

So, after excessive late night trials I decided this needs to go after my ehx Glove and before a tape echo pedal. That's a good use for this pedal to my ears.

Well, guess I didn't think about it, pulled the trigger and bought it. I'd never buy a chibson. I do have an Eastman but I think they pay their employees a reasonable rate. Peace to all if us!

Well it came in. Picked it up for the stupid total of $7.55. remember it was on closeout, so they were dumping them.
Impressions? Does what it is supposed to do. Minimum volume, does nothing, so it doesn't lower the volume when you stomp on it. Bass and treble controls work nicely, bringing out that "Ric Jangle" to even the buckerist of pickups, Bass adds some depth. Only real complaint, are the shiny metal toped knobs. From a foot away, you can't see what you set it at. A simple sharpie fixed that. It will either stay on the board, or be gifted. Haven't decided yet.
