I had a '59 TV Junior a few years back but I found myself not playing it much, so I sold it to fund an L-5. Of course I miss it now, so with time on my hands I thought I'd have a go at my first scratch build. I've done plenty of make-overs & parts o casters but never built a neck. So here goes.

No room for a thicknesser either, so I made a simple jig & used a router to get the thickness right.

I see Mike G is doing a similar project. Where were you when I needed you?

I got some plans from JAG guitar. Not accurate for a '59 but worth 10 bucks, most things are correct. I also got a body template off e.bay. Double sided taped & robo-sanded.

I've routed thousands of holes over the years but I'm having problems with the rolling bearing in the blade eating into the MDF jig. It's turning fine, what am I doing wrong? Easily fixed but annoying.

Need a decent TRC. I have a '56 junior, single cut of course but I copied the TRC onto some scrap plastic sheet.
