I'm building a '57 LP Goldtop Replica and I'm uncertain about the color of the pore filler. I'm using Rustins Grain Filler Natural (oil based). Some old guitars seems to have a pretty light filler in the pores. It is lighter than the mahogany. Other seems to have a walnut colored filler, that is a bit darker than the wood (I don't mean the filler of the darkback goldtops). Does anybody knwo if they used different fillers for the light back goldtops in those days?
