My impression is that not many of these come in under 9 lbs. What does yours weigh?

(I'm not talking about the Jeff Beck aged and signed guitars, just the "regular" custom shop models.)

Did any of these have dark boards? All of the ones I've seen had very light-colored fretboards, doesn't do the Oxblood color justice.

I have a R4JB from 2006. It is on the heavier side, probably about 9.5 pounds.

It has a nice, dark and even colored board but Beck's original had a light-colored streak on the bass side of his board and I have seen some of the limited editions attempt to duplicate that.

If you are looking for a lighter one... Keep an eye out for the 2013 Benchmark Collection Oxbloods. They tend to be in the 8 lb range. Mine is something like 8 lbs 5oz.

There's a JB Oxblood on eBay in the UK just now. More than I'd pay for a reissue, even though signed limited edition, but it looks great.

Yeah, not sure who is going to drop more than $10K on a reissue...
