Some of us love the sound of a Strat, but hate the look or, in my case, can't play them for sh*t!!
Vintage style p90s are a great compromise I think. The secret seems to be knocking both the volume and, strangely the tone, back a bit. Seems to bring out a real Strat quality, to my ears at least.
Put together a little something to demonstrate. Playing into a Matamp series 3000, no pedals. Both background and lead guitar are the 54.
