Some of us love the sound of a Strat, but hate the look or, in my case, can't play them for sh*t!!

Vintage style p90s are a great compromise I think. The secret seems to be knocking both the volume and, strangely the tone, back a bit. Seems to bring out a real Strat quality, to my ears at least.

Put together a little something to demonstrate. Playing into a Matamp series 3000, no pedals. Both background and lead guitar are the 54.

A little bit Straty, for sure. But LP sweet.

Very clean for P90's. Is that all neck pickup?

Thanks for posting j.
P90s rule for me..........can't beat that clear rich tone, you're going to have to get with some Ry also.....he's essential listening.

I get strat tones from most of my dual P-90 guitars.

Just match the vol and tone knobs fairly close, and enjoy!

looking at 9 P-90's right now as I type.

Yep------ Love my P-90's!
