Yes relic on the old neck is a little drastic but a new one with only a light relic would fit nice with that sweet body.

Seriously, my first thought was "Restore it? I wouldn't TOUCH that finish"

Then I saw the next pic that showed the neck... or lack of a neck.
My thoughts are to replace the neck, yeah, but keep as much "mojo", as mentioned before.

I'm surprised the original owner gave it away, if that is in fact what happened. Did she realize it was worth a few thousand bucks even in that shape?
