Hey guys Im just curious what a 50s rounded neck meant. Does this refer to a larger 58 neck or the thinner 59 neck. I have smaller hands and have always prefered a 60s slim taper neck but the Gibson tradtional and traditional plus have this rounded 50s neck. Will this be okay for my mediumish-small hands.... thanks for all the help in advance

USA '50s is sort of in between Historic '50s and USA '60s. They aren't too big and they aren't too small.

The Traditional '50's necks are bigger than last years model.
I've always liked a '60's neck. I have small hands. But I've been playing my friends Trad and got used to the bigger neck. To me a neck size doesn't really matter.

Probably because it takes more time and more sanding so the majority of necks that come out of the Gibson factory are 50's.

Either that or everyone in the world has small hands and are all buying up the 60's necks first. :laugh2:

I think I'm the only person on this forum that doesn't have a neck preference. Lucky me I could go with any LP I liked. I think it's because I trained my hand with a '59 neck.
