So there's been a couple of discussions about them on this forum already and now Matt Heafy from Trivium posted a teaser that next week Epiphone will announce 4 new Models.
Left to right:
- Thommy Thayer Explorer (most likely same specs as the LP)(first saw pictures when the first Björn Model was announced)
- Matt Heafy Signature Les Paul Custom in 7 and 6 String version (apparently named "Snøfall" (a track from their most recent record "Silence in the Snow"), same specs as the previous MKH LPC but with presumably a white phenolic fretboard (like the Snowfalcon) and white EMGs)(seen on tour with Matt for a while now)
- Björn Gelotte Signature Les Paul Custom in white (same specs as previous BG Sig. but with Gold hardware... looks like ebony freboard again) (theres been a lot of discussion about this one since Björn used it a lot on tour already)
Some really cool stuff Epi is releasing soon! I don't really like white guitars too much and I think they will again fall in a bit higher price category (650€ +) although I'm interested to see how the MKH turns out since the original one was very affordable for what you got. I'm also excited to see how fast they will be available since some new models were announced and then not available at said time they would be by epiphone.
cheers!
