Where were you when Reagan was shot?

I was in 4th grade and came home to my older brother having an after school get together with his friends. I remember there was alot of pot smoke & beer cans.

"Hey matty, the president was shot!"

Was pretty much glued to the tv watching the coverage for the rest of the afternoon.

I was in College and I remember other students talking about what a shame it was that Reagan wasn't killed.

That's just ****ed up. No matter how much I may disagree with a certain party whose in office, I'd never want them shot.

100 years ago today, the M1911 Colt .45 ACP pistol is adapted as the official sidearm of United States Army.

I was in high school, in western Kansas.
I was finally able to grasp the whole thing of JFK from 1963 - I understood...

I was rattled - and surprised that it would shake me up 1500 miles away.
Pulled onto the highway in front of car and nearly got t-boned in my '70 Pontiac Bonneville.

After that little eye-opener, I went home and turned on the network news.
(Only 3 channels, we didn't have that new-fangled cable TV.)

Couple more years, I voted for Reagan in the biggest landslide election in history.

Jr High.

Majority of the students were hoping he died.

I didn't care. I had my own issues. Lol
