What's a rough idea of the value of this LP Custom?

All the hardware is in worn/slightly corroded condition. Seller says he hasn't played in years; Frets appear to confirm that.

Assuming the rest of it is setup-able, what's a rough idea of a USA value?

I personally wouldn't pay more than $300. But it would just need to be cleaned up and no other issues.

You can look up Reverb's price guide. It has sold prices of all Black Beauty LPs since 2014.

Thanks. Didn't know they had that feature. I've seen those little price charts on some items for sale but didn't know how to get to them.

Based on a "good" condition one starting at $400, I'm thinking this is probably worth $200-$250 in the condition it's in. To reach "good" it would need all new hardware and a significant bit of time. Not that I'd need new hardware for it, but it certainly needs it to reach the "good" level for sale. That's assuming that the moisture that caused the metal degradation didn't cause neck or body issues.

I may let it sit. If no one buys it, I might hit up the seller later. Or perhaps I'll send him a reasonable offer now, condition pending. Time to ponder.

What is the actual asking price. If I was looking for that model and this one was $300 locally, I'd buy it, it has mojo. Frets would need to be in very good conditions though.

$400 asking. And yeah, I'm into the worn look. Still there. Getting closer to hitting him up.

This actually isn't on my radar at all for what I want in an additional guitar... but I ran into it and thought maybe it was one of those opportunities you shouldn't walk by.

Yeah.. I'd much rather have a new 2020/2021 Custom than that guitar

Yeah, I'm seeing that... a used Custom is about $400. So unless I can get this for a lot less, it's not worth it.
