Thanks! I'm sorry, I have to add the guard

(I had another Les Paul last year with no pickguard, but they look unfinished to me without them. Much like a Stratocaster, the pickguard simply completes the picture and adds such beautiful lines to it.)

Please forgive me! Lol
I only put a pickguard on an LP Custom. I also take off the poker chip on most, except an LP Custom.

it’s funny these faded standards either have a crazy or plain top, not much in between. I love the way mine looks, it’s similar to yours, but in all honesty, I wish it had proper nitro on it

It is a beautiful old soul of a Les Paul. It looks just like one I saw in a case in Reno at Bizarre Guitar, going for half a million dollars.... :)

Oh, and that one in Reno had a 3-piece top, so yours is nicer.

I know I didn't need another guitar, but it's my dream to have three or four iconic Les Paul finishes (iconic colors, tops, etc).

The 2022 Standard Faded series haven't been on my radar because I enjoy a gloss finish, and also I really hadn't seen any pictures that captured me.

But this particular 50's Standard in Vintage Honeyburst was unlike any other I've seen.
And I can see so much potential for a knockout retro-vibe Les Paul with some modification. I'm thinking of adding aged hardware and pickup covers, a pickguard (of course), and possibly giving the top a slight polish to make it "pop" a bit. To my eyes, the flame and mineral streaks look a lot like some of the washed out actual 1959 Les Paul pictures I see and covet...

Here's a couple of pics - I taped a pickguard on to see how it looks, which is essential to my eyes. I wanted to let everyone on the forum know there are some beautiful tops out there on the 50s faded models...
