2022 Les Paul Special

Hey all,
Been researching the newest LP Special, the one for $1,700 that no one has in stock and not one source can tell me when they will return.
Anyway, was talking to a friend and he informed me that it would not be unusual to receive one with possibly a three piece slab body.
Really?
Maybe a Tribute like my DC Jr. but this model Special??

Mine (which I recently sold to fund a different Gibson) was a one-piece slab. Vintage cherry finish so very easy to see the wood and verify that it was just one slab. It was also just under 7.5 lbs and felt great. Happy with my decision but I definitely do miss it.

Sorry you had to part with it but we all do what we have to.
I’m looking at the Vintage Cherry finish as well.
That’s why I was questioning three pieces that could
be easily seen unlike the TV Yellow that it might hide more.

My 2019 Original Collection TV Yellow is one piece body as well...the TV Yellow is very translucent.

Guess what I’m trying to ask, is it normal business to expect multi piece bodies for LP Specials and Junions that are not in the lower category of Gibson guitars.

Thanks, I think so, too. I haven’t weighed it, but it hangs pretty light compared to my Tele, Revstar or MIJ Norlin LP copy.
