Beautiful! I got one last year, though I did switch out the Gibson pickups for Fralin zebras.
It freaking awesome. Best Gibson case going for the money. So impressed I’m going to be getting another one or two because I want to only use these for when a guitar goes out of the house and in and out of cars etc. These plastic case are tailor made for that stuff and I don’t have to be roughing up all my nice custom shop cases and original cases for the guitars. And of course most importantly these chainsaw cases isolate and protect the guitars far better than any of the stock cases ever wouldHow do you like the new chainsaw case?
I’m late to this chainsaw case party…but here goes. The stock case for my 2001 R7 still works well enough, but it’s definitely not particularly sturdy or protective. I don’t gig nor travel with my guitars. But I do get together with friends regularly to jam for fun….which means piling gear in the car. Definitely plenty of opportunities for my 20+ year old Gibson Custom Shop case to get crushed or busted. I’m going to check out these new cases. It freaking awesome. I like how those new chainsaw cases are blue inside like the old ones, too.I’m late to this chainsaw case party … I’m going to check out these new cases.
i must admit i was wondering where scratch and dent came in...awesome guitar.Congrats, very nice.
I think the scratch and dent are returns that someone did not want. Look it over really well and make sure the feel/playability is spot on. I returned one a while back ago because the frets were not polished/level and the nut was cut wrong. The guitar was very hard to get tuned properly.
You’ll be happy. Perfect case for what you described needing. I’m hoping hard they come out with a Flying V and Explorer version soon as I will buy those tooI’m late to this chainsaw case party…but here goes.
