I'm so glad I bought my Standard in Honey burst last year, I'm not feeling 2018 except for the Studios but I'm pretty sure there is no weight relief so I can't see myself buying one. Guess I'm going to sit on my wallet until 2019...

Thanks for posting this!

Kinda bummed they have such a limited color palette once again for the Trads (i.e.,just 3 colors, 2 of which are the mandatory HCS and HB). I dig that Tobacco, but really, since they did it in a rim burst (which I don't have a problem with rim bursts like some folks), it looks pretty much just like an Iced Tea from 2016 (which I am okay with, I have a 2016 Iced Tea Trad and love it). Was hoping for something more color-wise though. Something along the lines of a red-backed Trans Amber or Lemon Burst would have been AWESOME! Oh well... :(

As a result, Trads are probably off my radar this year again (not that I need another)... unless some dealer exclusive colors come out like they did last year--e.g. The Iced Tea and Tobacco from Sam Ash, etc. So never say never. ;)

Classic (another model I'm fond off) is also off my radar as I'm not a P90 guy. But I am very interested to see this Faded Studio Worn Bourbon. Especially if they put bound necks on the Faded Studios like they are on the regular Studios (I'm kinda doubting that will be the case, but I'm hopeful. ;)).

Anyway, cool info... thanks again for posting it.

Not a fan of how the burst doesn't complete at the bottom...

My first thought when I saw that was; Someone interrupted the guy painting bursts one day, and what he was in the middle of painting looked like this, and some genius thought "Hey! That looks good! Lemme show that to Henry..."

Plus some of them are rim bursts, which I'm not a huge fan of anyway....

I can't help but note (although it *is* early and not all has been made known)....no single cut Juniors. Again. :(

Am I out of it, or are they using those godawful adjustable zero frets again?

Yeah the "fade" on the hp line isn't my look. The mojave color looks great though. I'm a huge fan of the no pup rings, but I can't get over the holes on the back. Damn. It's just.... holes... in the back :(

It's just odd. Prob has great functionality.

May look like the classics are the real winners in you like p90s. Natural backs on the blue & GT. Amazing. That ebony classic too.

They always have on the HP line I believe. The T line has a standard nut and full burst.

I'm out of the running for a 2018 HP. The 'HP' truss rod cover, the fade and those screw holes on the back...just not for me.

Will definitely check out the Blood Orange T though.

The HP sure look very modern, Gibson is taking risks instead of just playing safe.
Lets see if thats what a Gibson costumer wants and follows the new trend.
