I talked to Gibson on the phone and they confirmed it was shipped to the dealer, it was a special run for the dealer. Supposedly they stored it away in the warehouse and didn't bring out until recently.

Wow, that certainly changes things! And sorry, I'd originally missed the post where you said "They got the guitar directly from Gibson".
