How about a reissue of the '1965 Crestwood custom'.

Sort of like the 62 Crestwood reissue they did a couple years ago where the made 1962 guitars. These are selling (asking price) at-above the original listed price. Should be plenty of demand for a 65 version.
Yep you can have 62 reissue sorrento when you pry it from my cold dead hands. Or offer enough for me to buy a real 62 sorrento mebbe.

I agree that a '53 or '54 Goldtop would be welcomed. That's one that I'd surely be after.

I think it would be cool to have a Byrdland RI. Double bound, P90s, trapeze tailpiece, ebony board, gold hardware...The works. There have been a number of Gibsons done, off and on, over the years (including this year) but other than the Florentine which bears some similarities, no Epi version in the Venetian cutaway style that I'm aware of. So...It's about time...:fingersx:

i would love a plain top lemon burst, and they really need to bring back the firebirds, not the studio version but a real close as possible tru-spec V, III, and VII

'65 Crestwood, now that would be very nice! Or even cooler, a '65 Crestwood Deluxe, with 3 mini humbuckers.

I'd like to see a strictly Epiphone '62 Wilshire with P90's, but without the Gibson price of the Epiphone '62 Wilshire USA Reissue.

Or why not a '65 Epiphone Coronet Reissue, that would be a good one too!

However good an Epiphone is, whether out of the box, or even after some choice upgrades, it will never truly satisfy you if you want the Gibson. You will always crave the Gibson.

At the end of the say, it depends if the shape of the headstock and the name on it really means that much to you.

Absolutely spot on. I love my Epiphone, had it for years but there was that part of me that still lusted after a Gibson and that was fullfilled when I bought my Gibson LP Studio..... however, what do I reach for more than any other guitar? My Epiphone Les Paul Classic with SD Pearly Gates pickups in it.

Sometimes you need to try to look past the badge, you may be pleasantly surprised.

If Epi would come out with a Traditional style Les Paul with a 50s neck, i would be all over it. Would probably buy two!

A spiritual successor to the Elitist series would be cool, not necessarily MIJ.

Sorry, but Elite/Elitist is inextricably linked with MiJ

Exactly, can you imagine a run of Chinese or Indonesian Elitists? No thanks.

How about just a run of FNG's with US distribution. Whoever's feelin froggy and wants to give it a shot. Epiphone is done distributing Japanese guitars here. In today's money the Elitists would be over a grand a pop, and that's "too much" for an Epiphone apparently.

I would tear the arse off a repro '59 Coronet, I would also do almost anything for a white '65 Crestwood Deluxe... Two of each for me... How about a Dwight Coronet? Both of Steve Marriott's were for sale in London in the late '90s... Didn't buy either, cuz I'm a fooooool!

Also... In the very late 90s Deniz Tek was selling his repro Custom Shop Crestwood Deluxe on eBay, he was only asking US$1100... I don't know what possessed me not to buy it... One of my (many!) guitar buying related regrets... :'(
