So what do you think Epiphone will do for 2016? I would like to see some Ace Frehley tobacco burst Les Paul. When do they usually announce?

The new Models for 2015 got public in Dec 2014 - though some of them haven't yet reached the stores....

Shortly after Gibson's announcement 1st. Usually Epi will do an affordable version of a new Gibson release, letting Gibson create a demand but being unobtainable by many due to price, then the Epi comes along bob's your uncle. A good example is the Joe Bonamassa releases.

This 'rule' did not apply to most of the new Epiphones within the last years...

The Gibsons have been out for a few weeks, so maybe soon?

I'd like to see another run of 1000 Budokan's. They did it with the Bonamassa's why not Ace? :hmm:

In fact they seem to put out a lot of complimnetary guitars, like 339 P-90 Pros or the non-Gibson like Wildkat or Wilshire, Crestwood, etc hardbody.

A large number of sigs are Epi exclusives like the Lea Malia Artisan Custom LP or Gary Clark Junior Casinos.

Then there's things like "1962 50th anniversay" stuff which mostly tends to be Epi models. Sheraton, Sorrento, or a Crestwood.

I stopped by the guitar store in Texas today ,
they had pretty much all the Epi variations in stock.
They are really nice and feel and play great.
Not sure but i think the case was separate.
Would have taken one home if i had the extra bucks.

I'd love a high end plain top with tobacco or honey burst finish.

A '54 GT, a '54 Custom, and a Tribute Plus in Lemonburst would make my year.

I'd like to see Gibson style headstocks. Prolly never happen.:(

I ended up watching a load of Youtube vids yesterday and someone made an interesting point about Gibson vs Epiphone (He was talking about the ES-339s but the same stuff can apply to LPs as well, I feel). However good an Epiphone is, whether out of the box, or even after some choice upgrades, it will never truly satisfy you if you want the Gibson. You will always crave the Gibson.

At the end of the say, it depends if the shape of the headstock and the name on it really means that much to you.
