2015 LP Studio Wine Red or 2016 LP 50s Tribute Honeyburst?

Thinking of trading in my 2015 LP Studio in Wine Red (can't stand the GFORCE tuners): Gibson.com: Les Paul Studio 2015

I'm really digging these 2016 LP 50s Tribute T, especially the Satin Honeyburst: Les Paul '50s Tribute 2016 T

Thoughts on trading 2015 for 2016? From my understanding there was only 205 of the 2015 Wine Red studios built, but who knows how many 2016s are out there!

Thanks all.

Maybe just remove the GForce tuners and throw some Grovers or Klusons on there? I think the 2015 Studio has better pups(imo) and let's not forget the full nitro gloss finish versus the thin satin on the Tribute. These are all just my (perhaps biased) opinions.

The tough part is finding someone who will take your 2015.

Everyone needs a Wine Red Studio at some point. I miss my old one. As a former owner of a Wine Red full gloss studio, and a 50's tribute (although they were different year models with different pickup combinations) I would go with the Studio all day long.

On the '15 you have full gloss and 57's...hard to beat that.

Pick the one that feels best for you, the one that you are going to enjoy.

The Studio is not going to gain value even if there were only 205 Wine Red's in 2015 and the 2016 Models all seem exceptional in quality. I personally would pick the Tribute and/or the 2016 model.

I have a 2016 studio faded, great guitar and can't complain about (though I replaced the pups).
thing is, you need to love the finish, the feel of raw wood in your hands, against regular Gibson finish.

that's to me the biggest difference to take into account imho. neck width is traditional.

Thank you everyone. I'm so conflicted....tough decision. I love the glossiness of my Studio, but I'm really digging the vintage look of these 2016 Tributes. I don't need both....

Seriously......if you like that 2015 neck then just swap out the G Force.

Can we see it?

Well that wine red Studio is a beauty, especially with the cream plastics. If you like how it plays you'd be bonkers to get rid of it.

Now save up a bit longer and get the tribute as well (or just stick it on the plastic and get it now)!

Thank you everyone for your insight and help. I almost swapped the Wine Red for the 2016 50s Tribute (Guitar Center would have done almost an even swap) but I decided to just get the GForce removed and stick the the 2015 Studio and I couldn't be happier. With the robot gone, it feels like a new guitar haha! Here she is next to my 2012 SG: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzmFWhhnPQauWVQ0d1NwM2k3MnM

Thanks again everyone!
