2014 Les Paul Custom Phantom

These 2014 Gibsons are really making me appreciate my 2013.

Seriously, what were they thinking with this? They're gonna have trouble selling 3 of these!

Damn! I hope there are more LPs coming without inlays (and maybe lower price)! Absolutely love blank fretboards. Awesome looking guitar.

What makes this guitar ugly is it's current asking price. If it were priced like say a tribute model or a Studio on clearance, then I'd probably be all over it.

It looks like they painted OVER the front and back binding.

It clearly has binding that is painted over.

So what on earth if the point of paying somebody to put it on there, it isnt like it changes the tone or anything, just looks nice if you can see it............

stupid guitar. just saying.

Normal binding with black hardware would be very cool.

Wonder if the painted over body bindings are white under it. It might balance it out if uncovered, but I doubt that is would be the multi-layer like on the headstock. Oh yeah, HellNo on the price.

Don't like! The binding is the mark of a real Les Paul. It looks like Gibson is cheaping out on their anchor guitars.

What is the point of a Custom if not the extra trimmings and gold hardware ?!

They could have reversed the colour of the binding layers for an interesting effect. I would have paired that with black-pearl inlays on the fretboard and headstock…

The way they're bastardising the flagship Custom lately is very sad.
