Hey Mates,
I picked up this 2011 Aged Historic 1960 Reissue Tom Murphy Aged w/ COA from a GC. I was there getting some work done on my R9, and saw this. I got it for $3,500. I've been looking for a R0, and saw this and it was Murphy aged so I thought it would be a good deal, was it?
I've seen the G0 guitars at GC a lot going for $4500, and was holding out for a R). It's part of the "Gibson Historic Collection" - not so sure how that is different from Custom Shop, or True Historic... I get the distinctions confused.
Anyway, wanted to share this with you all and get your input. So far I love it, pays real nice, nice and fast neck. The tone is distinct from my R9 and R8, sounds beautiful, but different. I love the color and finish. It's a keeper in my collection. Love the aging on it, might have to zoom into the photo to see it better.
Thanks!
