Hello All,

Thought I'd share my newest acquisition which I purchased last weekend.

Comes with the Gold COA - literally only a couple of digits away from the max. prod. # of 500. The flame is truly amazing. The pics don't do it justice.

She's a real beauty. She weighs in at just a hair over 8 lbs. and balanced like no other I've ever owned. The tone is the most exquisite I've ever heard coming from any LP I've ever owned (1988 LP Custom, 1993 LP 1960 Classic, 1994 LP 1960 Classic, 1968 SG Special, 2001 LP Deluxe Goldtop Custom Shop RI, 1975 LP Deluxe one piece body, 2003 Custom Shop LP Deluxe Pete Townshend #3 Goldtop).

Does anyone know whether there is there a SN# registry for any of the 1960 50th Anniv. reissues anywhere?

This V3 are among the only ones to come with almost the correct burst job close to those of the 50´s.

Great guitar and hope you find the time to do some videos of soundclicks with it for us mere mortal to enjoy.

Congrats and welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum, BD, and congrats on the new guitar! It's a beauty!

I don't think you'll find a registry specifically for the R0 50th guitars, but you could certainly add it to the Historic Les Paul Database: Historic Les Paul Database

I went through Chuck Levin's. Price (for me): mid 4s before taxes (could've avoided tax if I had it shipped as I live out-of-state - and yes, it was brand new, still sealed in the box). It's the only one they got in. Given the low prod. of the Gold COAs R0s, this may be the only one they'll get.

Re; 60's slim taper neck: Frankly, it feels better than my Custom Shop PT LP Goldtop or either of my 2 LP 1960 Classics. There's just something about the neck on this one that feels better to me. I'm not quite able to adequately elaborate on it as I haven't yet had sufficient time to play her. Thus far I've only gotten about 2 hours on her the first week I've had her.

I've cleaned the glass on my woodburner ready for Autumn and you can see the new cat flap in this pic too.

I know! Those are the 1st things that caught my eye. The wood stove and the cat flap in the door. Nice photography. Oh, that guitar also looks nice. SWEET RO. :thumb: Whereabouts is your SN in the 500 run?

It's going to be a player as are my other guitars. I often read that 'my new guitar has a great tone and is magic to play' and think, yeah you have to justify the money to yourself. So I sat and played my '59 RO and then this one and they are very different tonally (as well of course as the neck). I do love this guitar. Unfortunately it came from the dealer with a few marks on the back but I managed to knock him down on price so that I only paid about 20% more than you :hmm: but I couldn't find another one. Of course now there will be lots popping up in my Google search :wow:
