I'll bet this one looks better in person than the other.

Paralysis by analysis, indeed. One of those should speak to you more than the other. We can't help you with that.

Take a look at this one. This 2007 Standard used to be mine . A great play with a top that dances in light.

I had Larry Corsa (CV Guitars - Home) mod it for me last summer, and picked up one of Larry's LCPG builds. The Standard turned out great, but long story short I ended up ordering 2 more of Larry's builds, so Larry took it in trade. If I stumbled in to some cash I'd buy it back. Larry offers a money back guarantee too.

2007 Gibson Les Paul Standard "non-Faded," regular finish Honey Burst. LCPG-275 with Manalishi Pickups, massive modifications!

Hot dang that is sexy. I'm not sure I want my first LP to be a modded, but I might research this a bit. Thanks everyone.

The LCPG mod only works in the middle / Both Pickups on setting, and you have to have the volumes set a the same level to envoke the Out-Of-Phase tone, a slight adjustment in volume to either volume pots and your back to normal.

The rest of mods are upgraded hardware - so much better than stock.

I ended up buying this guitar. It's in fantastic shape, brought it home cleaned it up restrung it, did a quick set up, and presto. One very nice LP, plays like butter as they say.

2007? Pre-Chambered? got to be good I would think...of course it all depends on the price, and how this particular one sounds/plays

I posted about this gee-tar a few days ago. Tag said "2002 Style." Called Gibson and they even confirmed with the language "2002 Style." Made in 2007, Standard, 50's neck, swiss cheesed, honey burst. Sooooo, HOT or NOT? Value? (even though it's 2007, it's new) Thanks!

Yeah they started chambering* Standards in late 06, are you cetain it's just weight-relieved (swiss-cheesed)?

*Not that that's a bad thing, I have a chambered 07 and I love it, am just saying.

Yup that would be the one, and thank-you. I'm going to take it to work and weigh it tomorrow, I'm guessing around 8 lbs or so. I'm not really sure if it's chambered but I have my suspicions that it is. It's made in 2007 April believe.
