Hi everyone, so after 15 years, I have decided to buy my first Les Paul (although not my first Gibson, had the 1998 limited korina flying V about 13 years back...god i miss that thing)

Anyway, absolutely love the thing, traded my Prs for it, just need some help with a few things, would appreciate any info on the following:

Finish, according to the last owners shop reciept, its a premium plus lemonburst....but it looks nothing like lemonburst, at least not to me

Pickups, not sure which ones

Body binding, seems to be a bit dodgy, can anyone tell me why it looks so shoddy? Also, if you rub your nail against the binding, it does scrape in some places.

Have no idea how to compress photos to the tiny size required, so gonna post a link for my photobucket page (old school!)

Thats why I got it, for its age, theres hardly a mark on it, but im still a bit confused about the binding, is it just random quality control?

Lovely guitar - not too flashy but certainly flamey :)

The binding doesn't look uncommon to me. My 2002 Custom has noticeable 'ridges' along binding, and most glue seams are similarly uneven. Part of the charm, eh?

I would definatly say that it is NOT Lemon Burst.

If you pop out the neck pickup you will 1) see what colour code is in there and then we can tell you what it is and 2) you will see what pups are in there ;)

Enjoy it :thumb:

Looks like a light burst to me. She's lovely, I had a 2005 that looked like her twin!

Looks like it says LBT...not sure if the last word is a C or S

The pickup just says 'Gibson Usa'

And Donal...what does HNGD stand for?
