Hi, new member here and new LP owner. I just acquired a 1999 Epiphone Les Paul Standard Flame Top. It's at my local Luthier now being cleaned up. Since I'm new to the Epiphone's I'm interested to learn all I can about it.
I know it was built in S. Korea. What are peoples general perceptions of this guitar model and year? I'm also trying to determine what kind of sunburst finish it has. Also, are these Epiphone's finished with nitro? Thanks for your help.

The picture you posted is of a 1989-1990 HoneyBurst Epi Les Paul, which has the open headstock shape. I have a 1999 honeyburst and has the closed headstock shape.

Does your LP have the same type of headstock as the picture you posted? The Git in the thread you mentioned does not. No, they are not finished in nitro, they are finished with poly. Antique Sunburst is a fair guess. It really could pass for Desert Burst too or maybe Rootbeer. See if it has the custom shop logo on the back of the neck when you pick it up from your tech.
