Let's lighten this back up, guys... No need for anyone to stress. I was just kind of feeling that this is a below market give away, and really didn't feel that I needed to put all the effort into selling it like I was marketing a $5k R9.

Do understand that this is a guitar with cosmetic issues, and a headstock repair. It has had a rough life, and is priced accordingly. The headstock repair is simply a glued joint, and I know no history on that short of knowing that it stays in tune, and hasn't gone anywhere. It is not a splined professional repair, and it needs paint. This guitar has buckle rash, heavy nicks, etc, and again, it's priced accordingly. Someone could show it a little love, and perhaps a refinish if you feel it's necessary, and it could be nice again. I loved the fact that you could pick it up, play it, and not worry about putting a nick in the finish, etc. That may not be for everyone...

quite simply, you are wrong......
huh?

that's not exactly a question as much as it's
a sarcastic dig at the seller not posting pics as quickly as you like.

Either way that guitar is more then desired at this point, and is going to sell way before you had a chance to buy anyways.

No need for the salt?

Hahaha, I was going to buy it sight unseen if it had a 50's neck. Killer guitar for a killer price and we all know it.

Man what gives. There is nothing wrong with wanting pics no matter what the price, and troube wasn't the only who asked. Interest? Yes, but that and 50 cents will get you a cheap coffee. Lots of interest but no commitment, and I bet there won't be any until the repair is seen. It MIGHT be different if it were a trusted proven member, but two posts? And then again if it was a trusted proven member, the pics would have been up in the first place now....wouldn't they?

Funny stuff, this thread. Yes, I have a "low" post count. I don't constantly chatter to hear myself talk. And, I suck as a guitar player. I come on here to learn, and because I truly appreciate fine guitars.
My character has been questioned, because of post count? Perhaps I should post the names of all the folks that have said "I'll take it", but then go missing because they don't have the money, or even the nuts to generate a decent reply like "Things changed, no longer interested". And I'm the one under scrutiny?

Here's MY headstock repair, for better or worse. It has been sanded, and is pretty close to ready for paint. It still needs some cleanup. It is what it is. graduation 014.jpg

?????? Where do you get the "two posts" thing? I've been on here since February, 2008, and have 99 posts... Hopefully that qualifies me as "trusted" and "proven". And yes, there has been lots of commitment, all hollow so far (by folks with higher post counts that are "trusted" and "proven").

Mac, I think he looked at your "thanked" score by mistake. Again, my comment was not a slight against you (maybee I should have phrased it better--I do know there is a difference between "Let's eat Grandma" and "Let's eat, Grandma." and sometimes in quick posts, I do not read carefully enough, my own.

So that being said, if you were being a smartass because you thought I was being a smartass, I will take the hit and apologize, my bad.

I think Byrd jumped in because as a noobie, I came in and questioned a "price" of an item out in the open, and he took me to task about forum etiquette, and I have been very careful since to go to PM if I have a price question etc.

Matter of fact, I apoligized to that guy in the forum and we ended up doing business (not on that item though, he wanted too much :) )

He knows that I would not criticize out in the open, because, he taught me.

As far as IronCity, I will offer an apology there also wether deserved or needed (as he says we let it go---I actually went to the KISS show...whole other story)...and am sincere about it....I knew when the picture of the gorilla came up, I was outmatched and just chuckled and hit the road for the show.

We do not all have to be friends here to respect each other.

I wanted pics because I have never actually dealt with buying a guitar with a headstock issue and try to keep tabs because there are so many). Sooner or later, I will purchase with one of these problems (almost did a while back) and want to know all I can.

I hope you sell your guitar dude for exactly what you want and/or it's worth.

Check the monkey pedal guy, he jumped in says he will buy it sight unseen, hold him to it.

No one questioned your character, and, yes, I looked at the wrong post count, but that's not the number that matters anyway.

You can find the post funny all you want, but when you are selling something, no matter the condition or price, it helps to post pics, unless you are giving it away. In this case you might think you are, but $850 is still alot of money.

The number I should have mentioned as far as being trusted and proven is feedback...you have none. So as far as your character...it's not my place to question that. As a potential buyer, it is my or anyone elses place to question what they are spending their money on.

This is a great place to buy, sell, and trade gear. If you want to charge in here with an attitude, you may get someone on your side, but you most likely won't sell your gear. If you want to sell with the attitude of "for this price, don't ask questions just buy it', and be a wise a$$ when people ask you for pics or info, sell on Craigslist, not here.

That being said, the repair looks solid. GLWS.

Thank you. Apologies as well for the sarcasm. We're good! Regarding headstock repairs, I can only share my experience with this one. You wouldn't know it from an unbroken guitar in any of its properties, short of the less than lovely appearance. Once properly dressed and painted, you would never know that it's there.

Regarding feedback, I should have badgered the folks that I've bought from to leave it... Have done more than a few transactions on here.

Anyway, someone should jump on this guitar! As you can see, the neck repair certainly isn't hateful.

Macs69, unless you put up better photos of what ever damage your guitar has, how can i consider buying it? Is it so difficult to do so?

Count me out, no longer interested.
