1987 gibson les paul

Greetings! !!!! Turning to the experts. Friend of mine just bought a 87 gibson les paul standard stocked would anyone know what pickups were used in that year

1987 is the final year of Gibson being owned by Norlin, so they are probably Shaws if they are the original pick ups.

Are the pick up covers on or have they been removed?

I think there can be a couple of different pickups pickups in there. Might need some pictures of those pups to be certain

Yup, guitars made around transitional periods can be all over the place.

OK I'll try to post pics and u r right searched on Google and there are way to may opinions to know for sure what pickups are in them
