1976 Les Paul Build Location

I would really like to know how you did this?

How did you verify whether it was made at the Nashville Plant or the Michigan plant using a decal serial number in 1976?

My '76 Tobacco Standard had a decal for a serial number. i verified the build location with that decal serial number,it stuck in my mind at the time, it was a *new* Nashville Les Paul.

too long ago now to verify.just what i remember.i was intensely curious at the time, whether my *new* 13 lb Tobacco Sunburst Standard(3 piece maple neck) was built in *new* Nashville plant, since at that time it was a current event.big news,the move to nashville.

...so,sorry,no proof.the guitar had a couple*flaws* as well.fret board binding was uneven on one side.frets were flat and fat as could be.the guitar itself was brighter than bright, with a big-ass neck.very little carve on top.sustain for days...lol.

It was too long ago because it did not happen.....

not trying to rag on you, but there were no defining "factory" markings within the decal serial numbers.
