What do you guys think this is worth?
Story goes;
1969 Les Paul deluxe routed with ‘72 embossed humbuckers, stripped paint, replaced tuners.

Anybody have a guess of the market value?
Sorry for the pics, not mine.

I have no idea, but if I had it I’d have it turned into a gold top since it’s already been altered, those late ‘60s-early’70s Deluxe Les Pauls are really good guitars & I like the ones with fatter necks best.
Although I’m a big fan of the original ones with the mini HBs I knew a local guitarist in my late teens who had a gold top the same year as this one & put a vintage set of PAFs in it and even though it was 35 years ago I remember how great it sounded through his Orange 50 watt head and cabinet.
Just curious.. is this yours or are you looking to buy it or “just asking for a friend”?

Looks like the 1970 logo, not the 60's one.
That will change the value down a bit.

If it has a silk screen Les Paul Model logo, it is mid ‘72 or earlier. It will have a mahogany neck. No finish takes value down. If it has no breaks? I could see 2000 - 2500. It is a 50 year old Les Paul.

Looks like it took a good knock right at the G string corner of the headstock and left a bent key.

i own a 69 GT with 68 Gibson inlay only missing the dot over the eye w P90's I think mine is a March 69 build. Deluxe Wide peghead with that logo mid late 69. If it escaped a broken headstock or neck repair thats pretty unusual for the 68-69 s as they were work horses for decades and most led a ruff life of damage and many mods .

I’m still waiting on more photos.
One thing that has me concerned is the small ‘mark’ near the upper-left corner of the neck pickup ring.
That is the location where a tack hole from a goof-hider ring would be.

by the logo ,no made in usa stamp and the serial it looks like a transitional model as in very late 69 model...very early 1970. same guitars as a late series 69 deluxe.

Pancakes it’s is.
A new photo which reveals a little more.
I am guessing an early ‘70 at this point.
Which now leaves little interest in it for me.

yep....not a 69...might even be a 71. I would want to hold it and blacklight before I said there was no Made in USA stamp....

depends on the routes and what pups are under those covers.....

I don't think for a minute that is a 2K guitar.......might be a $1500-$1700 guitar, depending.

Why or how does that matter to you? Collectability is not really a factor with the finish removed.

Very early 70 one in 90xxxx range, without Made in USA stamp. Still with late 69 specs
