my 68ish 335 has blocks like that(inlays) but the headstock looks bigger on that.... mines open letters no i dot though aswell....

Looks like it could just be the headstock that is grafted on although some late 60's es necks would have had those inlays. Not only is the body some import junk, but the neck was a bolt on at one time. The chances of the scale length being correct are slim to none and the pickups are not Gibson either so the parts value is going to be slim to none in this case.

Thats messed up. Perhaps the neck would be worth 100 dollars to the right person. Other than that its total crap

The body" looks" like it may have been a Gibson at some point, and the rear control cavity looks right, but they have chopped the upper bout off to accept the SG neck deep into the body where they don't go on SG's. I think it still has screws holding it into the homemade neck pocket, but they look to be cover over with filler. This guitar is like the seller describes " A Money Pit", and it will never be a nice guitar again. $1000.00 for this guitar is insane if it doesn't come with a solid Lifton brown case!
