For Sale is a 1964 Gibson SG, Players Grade Condition. No Breaks. $7500 Shipped and Paypal'd OBO Not looking for trades.

When I got it the previous owner had given it a fret job and when they did that they destroyed the inlays. That owner put in a set of those horrible swirly type inlays from Gibson Historics around 2004-2008. The guitar now has a set of Dave Johnson/Historic Makeovers repro inlays and they look great.

What I know:

Pickup are early T-Top Gibson with Throbak covers. (8.3k and 7.8k)

knobs are montreux repros

original tuners. Guitar also appears to either have neck refin or overspray, it does still blacklight, see photos.

Ships in black Gibson Historic case with moderate wear.

Every time I see a vintage SG for sale, I die a little inside, bc it reminds me of the one that got away.

Had the chance to buy my uncle's '61-'62 for a little less than half of yours, but it just wasn't in the cards.

GLWS! She's a beauty!

same here. I sold my '61 PAFs and all SG around 1980 and got what was around 500 $ for it, which wasn't unfair back then.

The offered guitar here is beyond beautiful. GLWTS!
