Well, I finally got my LP Special back from restoration/repair from Echo Park guitars here in the Detroit area. Gabriel did a great job fixing the neck set issues and did a fabulous job on the sunburst finish with just a little aging to make her look age appropriate. The harness was good to begin with, just switched the caps back to period correct type. No headstock breaks and frets and binding (including nibs!) intact. The neck/body joint required serious surgery to correct a previous amateur repair and get the angle right. The bridge PU was original Gibson, but neck was an aftermarket POS, so trying one of Echo Parks' Mini-hums in there for now. If I find a good Gibson P-90, I may swap it back to stock. Just enjoying it with its' correct 59 GA-5 amp as-is for now. Here's a shot of before and some good pix of what she looks like today.
