Would love to know its history, and how it ended up at Goodwill.

I bought a '61 Silverstone U-1 at Salvation Army once for $39.95, the exact price it sold for at Sears in 1961. Am I going to hell?

That thing has led a full life - obviously it’s been played a lot - it’d be great to hear who’s owned it and how it wound up at Goodwill for sure...

If it’s at Goodwill it was donated. Someone brought it right in the back door with their old radios, hair dryers and Christmas decorations. Got a slip for $2 worth of tax deductions and left.
I will never be lucky enough to walk in to a goodwill and come across a find like that (sounds like they still fetched a nice price for It online, hopefully those proceeds will make a big diffemce in a bunch of folk’s lives who need it). what a truly awesome donation...

It looks like it made someone happy for a long time. They repaired it best they could and kept it going. I would love to see the amp

Looks like a piece of the "pickguard"? If you look at the top, by the cutaway, it looks like the edges would match.
